  8. Create Simple Sentences • I love my family. • I take ownership/personal responsibility. • I am a doer not just a hearer. • I appreciate and look for beauty in everything. • I am a knowledge-hound.

  9. 1. I love my family. As I prepare to start my own family, I am more aware of the value of my parents’ presence and support my entire life. They are a priority to me. • The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. --Proverbs 16:31

  10. 2. I take ownership and personal responsibility. • My feelings, actions, reactions and related consequences are mine—good or bad. I will not blame others for what I do or cause. • Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. --2 Corinthians 5:17

  11. 3. I am a doer not just a hearer. • I must be know as a person of action and not just talk, one who makes things happen in agreement with the will of God. • But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. --James 1:25

  12. 4. I appreciate and look for beauty in everything. • Beyond being positive, it is important that I speak to the beauty in myself, in others, and make time to take in the beauty in the earth. It is then that I feel closes to God. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. --Psalm 90:17

My love of information broadens my perspective on a national and international scale, and helps me better respect the views of others not like me. For the Lordgiveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. --Proverbs 2:6
