What is Service learning? • Service learning is a teaching method which involves community service. • Service learning combines students’ social commitment with professional learning in class. • the National Youth Leadership Council defines service learning as "a philosophy, pedagogy, and model for community development that is used as an instructional strategy to meet learning goals and/or content standards”.

  3. Benefits of Service learning • The community and students benefit from service learning. • Students gain experiences in keeping good company with other people. • Students support common welfare and do something for the society. • Students train their social skills.
