In June 2011, TCC Human Services students participated in a transformative weeklong service learning program in Chicago, Illinois. Students actively contributed to various community organizations, including Hull House, Lakeview Food Pantry, Maycrest Village, and Volunteers of America Illinois, under the guidance of Dr. Sharolyn Wallace. Their experiences ranged from discussions at the Hull House Urban Farm to preparing food hampers and organizing clothes for those in need. This initiative fostered community engagement, hands-on learning, and personal growth among the involved students.
