  2. Next Summer (2012) a new Summer school is available for your leisure hard earned ECTS Jul-Aug. exact dates to-be picked so it fits everybody’s schedules

  4. We propose to go to the Arabic peninsula.(specifically, Israel, Palestine & UAE) Any other suggestions are NOW welcome.

  5. Why the Arabic peninsula? (specifically, Israel, Palestine & UAE) Palestine has a thriving export of virtual goods, thanks to the wall Israel has a thriving security community due to its position in the gulf. Wants to become a IT hotspot in the middle east. UAE has an extensive eGov and ultra fast growing IT sector (50% annum) And we know people/orgs…

  6. The proposed topic is MBI-broad. “Software Import & Export in the Arabic Peninsula: implications on trade, localization, security and so forth”

  7. First opportunity to network/get $$ Oct. the 18th there’s a meeting in Amsterdam on the Software Industry in Israel & Palestine

  8. Setup Teams of 3-5; get sponsors to get your team shipped. (and thus a great research idea) Businesses, NGOs, governments etc. Administrative tasks website, hotels/tickets, etc. (see next slide) No need to have a team in advance.

  9. Administrative tasks (Verticals) PR (website, news reports, media) Trip (Flights & Hotels) Cash (Money in/out; opportunities for raising) Events (during the trip; universities, hotspots etc.)

  10. How to apply? Send an email to Sjaak & Slinger with Motivation letter What you can do for the team C.V. Grade list Send in before 21st!
