Founded in 1994 on the basis of agreements between the governments of Poland and Japan, it now offers studies at 9 faculties in 3 cities. PJIIT has the right to award the following degrees: Bachelor, Engineer and Master, as well as the PhD and DSc titles.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - RECRUITMENT UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES (ENGINEER) Stationary – candidates should have passed school-leaving examinations (Matura, A-levels) in mathematics, computer science (IT) or physics. Both old and new Matura certificates are honoured. The same holds for winners of subject competitions (olympics). Extramural (weekend and Internet-based studies) – candidates are accepted on the first come first served basis. GRADUATE STUDIES (FOR HOLDERS OF BACHELOR OR ENGINEER DEGREE) Stationary and extramural weekend – candidates are accepted on the basis of a qualifying interview. Internet-based – candidates are accepted on the first come first served basis. Candidates must be holders of minimum Bachelor degree.

SOCIAL INFORMATICS GRADUATE STUDIES FOR HOLDERS OF MINIMUM BACHELOR DEGREE Stationary and extramural Innovative study programme aimed chiefly at graduates of humanities, especially sociology, marketing, psychology, culture studies and journalism. It offers education in the areas connected with social web and webmining. RECRUITMENT Candidates are accepted on the basis of qualifying interview. Special emphasis is laid on interests in modern internet technologies. Candidates must possess minimum bachelor degree.

NEW MEDIA ART. - GRAPHICS UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE (COMBINED 1 AND 2 DEGREE) PROGRAMMES RECRUITMENT • Stationary and extramural • Admissions are based on a portfolio of works and an interview focusing on art. And culture. • Candidatesmustpresent the followingworks: • Painting (min. 10 pieces) – any technique, preferred format 50cmx70cm, • Drawing (min. 10 pieces) – any technique, preferred format 50cmx70 cm, • Photography – photos (min. 8 pieces). GRADUADE STUDIES for holders of bachelor degree • Stationary and extramural • Admissions are based on presented portfolio and undergraduate diploma work. Candidates should possess the basic knowledge of 3D graphics and the ability to create multimedia presentations.

  11. INTERIOR DESIGN UNDERGRADUATE STUDY Stationary and extramural Studies in the area of Interior Design are multidisciplinary in nature. They give thorough knowledge, understanding and excellent skills regarding the creation of human environment. They combine the traditional study in the fields of graphic arts and architecture with the study of modern digital media, multimedia and visual arts. SPECIALISATIONS (MAJORS) • Interior design • Exhibition design

  12. INTERIOR DESIGN - RECRUITMENT UNDERGRADUATE STUDY Stationary and extramural Admissions are based on a portfolio and a qualifying interview. The interview focuses on the history of art and architecture and is followed by a sketching exercise (on a given subject) plus a spatial test. The portfolio should contain the following works: Painting – 10 pieces Drawing – 10 pieces Composition – 10 pieces Sketches and notes – 10 pieces. The works should be based on nature and cover the following topics: landscape, interior, still life, study of a human figure.

  13. JAPANESE CULTURE CULTURE STUDIES UDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDIES Stationary and extramural The curriculum focuses on the modern face of Japan, especially social and cultural phenomena. It involves the study of current trends in popular and mass culture – film, comic, new media. Those are presented against the background of the rich traditional culture - classical theatre, literature, fine arts and aesthetics. One of the main subjects of the curriculum is an intensive course in Japanese. SPECIALISATIONS (MAJORS) - Japanese studies - Culture studies

JAPANESE CULTURE CULTURE STUDIES - RECRUITMENT UDERGRADUATE STUDIES Stationary and extramural Candidates must possess a matriculation (secondary school leaving) certificate, with grades from examinations in Polish and another modern language. . GRADUADE STUDIES Stationary and extramural Candidates are accepted on the basis of first come first served basis without the need to participate in qualifying interviews.

  19. FOREIGN EXCHANGE PJIIT cooperates with many foreign universities. Thanks to that our students can study in other countries as part of the exchange programmes such as ‘Lifelong learning’ Erasmus in the EU and in Japan (special scholarships). Our European partners are located in Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Finland and Italy. SCHOLARSHOPS, FEE REDUCTIONS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PJIIT has a well-developed system of scholarships and fee reductions: - Rector’s scholarships for the 10% of students of a given faculty for outstanding academic, artistic or sport achievements, - social scholarships with housing allowance, - scholarships for disabled students, - one-off financial assistance in case of difficult situation. REDUCTIONS OF TUITION FEE Students of the first year can count on fee reductions of 10%, 30% or 50% for good Matura (secondary school leaving) certificates. Additionally there is 7% reduction for paying the total annual fee in one installment and 3% for semester fee.
