  1. Welcome to Bell Middle School Our Mission: Bell Middle School is a community of learners. We provide a safe, rigorous and engaging academic environment. We have innovative pathways which empower students to take ownership for academic success. While following the national standards, Bell MS progressively incorporates technology to meet the needs of 21st century learners.

  2. Programming at BMS • Grades: ★ 6th, 7th and 8th • Pathways: ★ Traditional (6th,7th, 8th) ★ iSTEM(7th and 8th) ★ Specialized services for all grade level students. (Honors, CO-taught, Advisement, ESL, Math and Reading intervention classes)

Important information to know ★School is from 7:25-2:10. ★ After school help with teachers every Tuesday and Thursday-2:10-3:00 ★ We serve breakfast every morning. ★ Students have 7 classes a day. ★ Bell is a technology focused school -Bring your own device (optional) ★ Students will be placed on a team. ★ Teachers have common students and deliberate planning time to review student data and deliver data driven instruction

After School Activities • SkyHawks – Middle School Sports • Monday – Thursday • 2:30-3:45 • Pick-up is 3:45-4:15 • Year-round, with a few days off between seasons (fall and spring) • Fall • Volleyball • Cross Country • Flag Football • Cheerleading • Spring • Basketball • Track & Field and Weight Training • Cost • $100 per sport • $10 for a uniform

Succeeding in Middle School… PARENTS ❖ Establish daily homework routine at home. ❖ Set academic goals with your student each semester. ❖ Communicate with your student’s teachers. ❖ Check in with your student. ❖ Check Infinite Campus frequently. ❖ Learn to navigate through teacher websites to better understand assignments, due dates, and expectations. STUDENTS ❖ Get organized! ❖ Learn to manage your time efficiently! ❖ Develop note taking skills! ❖ Pay attention in class. ❖ Ask GREAT questions! ❖ Get involved. ❖ Avoid gossip and rumors. ❖ Learn to PRIORITIZE. ❖ Check teacher websites daily. ❖ Check grades on a weekly basis.
