PARKLAND CAFETERIA • Prices: • Student Breakfast is $1.10 • Student Lunch $2.25 • One Week of Lunches $11.25 • $22.50 for two weeks • Milk or water are 60¢ each • Water is an extra. You can block the account from buying extras if you’d like. • Menu
CAF-TRAC Procedure: • Please write the following on the outside of envelope (no plastic bags): • Student’s Name • No nicknames • First and Last • Teacher’s Name • Amount of Money being deposited* • Checks made payable to PSD Cafe Account
Assignment Book • Assignments are to be completed in a timely manner. • If an assignment is missing, a “missing” will appear in the book. • If an assignment is incomplete, an “I” will appear in the book. • Please sign to show you are aware of the missed homework. • Missing or incomplete work will need to be completed for the next day. • Each student will have a homework buddy. • **If your child experiences significant difficulty with an assignment/concept, please let me know via note or e-mail. Thanks!!
Friday Folder • It will be sent the last day of each week with graded work. • Please sign tests that are a 69% or below. • Return signed tests in Friday Folder by the next school day. • All graded Lead Weekly Assessments need to be signed and returned. • Please sign appropriate box each weekend to let me know you’ve examined the work inside. • Return the following school day.
Book Logs • Weekly homework assignment • Please assist in completing the Book Log • Your initials per week • Name of material read • Number of minutes • Calendar and letter are online • Due every Monday
Tests • Tests are announced via website. • In an effort to promote good study habits, encourage your child to review materials on a nightly basis. Study guides will be provided. • Tests will be returned in the Friday Folder.
Grades • Letter grades for each subject area. • A = 100 – 90% • B = 89 – 80% • C = 79 – 70% • D = 69 – 60% *Please sign and return • F = 59% and below *Please sign and return • Effort grades for the descriptors. • +, +, , -, -
Subject Areas • Reading/Grammar – weekly, unit, and benchmark assessments • Writing – rubric graded writing pieces • Math – quizzes and tests, will cross group • Science – labs • Social Studies – map quizzes and projects (inquiry)
Other Things to Know about Fourth Grade • Website, projects and parties • Homework Heroes and Homework Hall of Fame: • Hopefully will inspire your child to strive to put forth his/her best effort. • Mastery Club: • For students willing to go above and beyond to challenge themselves. • Xtra Math • Please provide notification when picking up your child early.
