  2. What is Mass Flow Rate? Mass Flow Rate is the total molecular mass passing through a cross-section of a given pipeline per unit of time. The basic formula for calculating the Mass Flow Rate is m=ρ×V×A, where Mass Flow Rate = (density) × (velocity) × (area of the cross-section)

  3. What is Mass Flow Meter? • A mass flow meter, is also known as an inertial flow meter. • It measures the mass flow rate of a fluid flowing through a tube. • The mass flow rate is defined as the mass of a fluid passing through a fixed point in one unit of time.
