Navigation Control System for Educational Portals: Features and Implementation

The Lavender Prototype developed by the team comprises an integrated navigation control system for educational portals, including essential features like back, forward, and home buttons. It effectively utilizes XML data for content generation, ensuring efficient data management without reliance on extensive maintenance teams. The system includes various windows for career center information, campus maps, and specific departmental resources. Additionally, it offers a conversion tool from DOCX to WPF format, enhancing display options on Surface platforms. Comprehensive documentation, including SRS and test plans, is in progress.

  3. Content Presenter • Uses data from an XML file to produce content to fill out our Navigation Frames. • This is not how we hope to generate data at release but it works for now and allows us to generate data quickly and efficiently.

  6. Management Method • .docx to WPF format • Files in the contact point assumed to be .docx (Microsoft office files) after discussion with customer • Surface is more suited to FlowDocument(WPF) display than .docx • Quick app to convert .docx to WPF for the DataFrame’s use
