  1. Make the most of your Business with Honeymoons and your Honeymoon Registry

  2. Wedding & Honeymoon Industry • Every year an average of 2,400,000 weddings are performed in the United States alone. • Among couples that have a wedding, 99% take honeymoons. • Honeymoons comprise a $12 Billion a year industry with couples spending an average of $5,000 on their honeymoons. The average length of a honeymoon is 11 days. • Half a million couples will celebrate a destination wedding this year with an average of 46 guests flying with the bride and groom to the wedding. • 45% of honeymoon destinations are domestic and 55% are international. • 86% plan to travel more than their parents did • 79% plan to travel after they have kids • Average Age of honeymooners is 26 for Brides and 29 for Grooms – They are computer savvy are you?

  3. What is a Honeymoon Bridal Registry? • On our online honeymoon registry, Brides & Grooms list anything they want to do on their honeymoon – even portions of their trip. First they book their travel as normal, then they go online and create their own bridal registry list. • It works just like a wedding gift registry.  Instead of buying pots or pans, toasters or towels, guests purchase portions of their dream honeymoon as a wedding gift. We donot book travel or make reservations. We provide Brides & Grooms a way to get more money to spend on their trip or to get reimbursed for monies already spent. • Its free to the brides and grooms to set up, there is a 10% total processing fee (7% service, 3% credit cards) to cover management of the account, credit card processing, gift cards, wedding web page etc. • The couple can choose whether to add it to the gift amount when the purchase is made or deduct it from the monies they receive.

  4. For example, instead of a crock pot – guests can buy the couple “A night in a suite” or a “Couples Massage”. Using and promoting the honeymoon registry, the couple receives an average of $2000.00 in gift money to spend on their honeymoon.

  5. Guests can even contribute towards the cost of the trip itself.

  6. The changing needs of honeymooners… • With the younger generation not to concerned about receiving traditional China and Silver, and with the rising cost of the ceremonies going up towards $20,000, younger couples still want to take a honeymoon but need financial help. • As more couples live together prior to marriage, are older when they marry or are on consecutive marriages, the need for more “things” is not as great as the need for a vacation experience. Second marriages comprise 37% of all weddings performed equaling just under a million second marriages a year in the US alone. The average wedding is extremely costly averaging $20,000.00 and honeymoons averaging $5,000.00. Couples don’t want to send out announcement cards asking to “Please send a check to my travel agent at” or “No gifts please; just cash”.

  7. How does the Honeymoon Registry Benefit Travel Agents? Give your clients a way to have extra money to spend on their booking. Linda Peckham and James Dodge received $5,840.00 to spend on their perfect honeymoon. Do you have clients that want a longer or more luxurious honeymoon, or would rather have monies towards their honeymoon instead of more pots and pans? Now you can offer a way to increase the amount of money Brides and Grooms have to spend on their trip by using the honeymoon registry.

  8. How are service fees paid It’s a free service to you and your clients. There is a 10% total processing fee on the transaction (7% service fee and 3% credit card fee) – this covers all account management, order processing, the wedding web page, and gift cards. We are the only site where the couple can choose to take the service charge out of the gift amount they receive or add it to the gift amount at the time of purchase. $100.00 gift = $107.00 Or a $100.00 gift = $93.00

  9. Why do we charge a service fee? • We charge no set up fees – other registries charge $150.00 (www.honeyluna.com) to $225.00 (www.giftpile.com) to set up your registry. • There are absolutely no ads, pop ups, etc. on our site so they can be sure that them and their guests are never bombarded by advertisements on our website. Other sites will send them and their guests advertising via email after they visit their registry site. •  There is a 7% fee that covers our operations. We are the only site that allows the couple to choose how they would like to pay the 7%, it can be deducted from the gift amounts that they receive, or they can add it to the total gift amount to be shown at time of purchase. Its totally up to them and your choice remains private. • The Couples gets a “Wedding Web Page” where they can post three photos, tell their story, directions to the church, details about the reception etc. • The couple gets to manage their account, they have a username and password so that they can view the list of gifts and givers anytime. They are able to see ahead of time how much money is in their account and pre-plan their activities. • Their guests get to choose from gift announcements that they can fill out after the purchase and send to the couples. The couple is notified each time they receive a gift. • There is no additional fees for sales tax, shipping or gift wrapping as charged by a store registry. • And, when they get home from the trip, we keep those announcements organized for them so that they can easily scroll through them to write up their thank you cards.

  10. Make commission on registry item service charges • You can make commissions on more than their travel booking. You will receive commissions on service fees from items that are purchased on the registry , spa treatments, extra activities , even shopping ! • Gullivers receives 20% of all service fees collected, the average you receive is $30.00. • Last month our highest commissions were paid to Travel Agent, Melissa Drake She helped promote her clients registry and received $124.00 in commission from us.

  11. It’s free & we don’t book travel! • This is a completely free program – no cost to join, operate or to use our materials. • Its already on your website, on the home page under “Travel Resources” you just have to let your clients know about it. • We are not travel sellers and are never in competition with you. We want to help you book more travel! • We are registry experts – that is all we do. • More bookings for you = more registries for us.

  14. If you have an office or storefront, print out the poster about your honeymoon registry and post for your clients to see. • Once your clients have done their registry, take a moment to see what they have signed up for. Take that opportunity to book upgrades or commissionable items that they want. • Print out announcement cards for your clients as a gift for booking with you once they have registered.

  15. Use the backside of your business card to add that you are a “honeymoon specialist” and mention your honeymoon registry and free wedding website that are part of your services. • Cultivate working relationships with businesses in your area that you know – bridal shops, florists, ladies gyms, bakeries, and hair salons. Trade referrals with them either by a “referral sheet” or web space. • Add to any advertising that you currently have in Yellow Pages, newspapers, etc. that you have a honeymoon registry or free wedding website. •  Send out a press release or be a contributing writer to local newspapers. Become an expert on Honeymoon Destinations or Travel Tips, even a “what not to do” article. • Host a “Honeymoon Night” in your area with a local supplier, get couples to book on the spot with special offers • Do a bridal show in your area. Exhibit with your own booth at an area bridal show. Download our “Bridal Show Script” at www.HoneymoonWishes.com, agents using that process average 156 leads per show!

How do you sign your clients up?Direct them to your travel website – its already set up under the tab “honeymoon registry” right on the home page! • You book the travel and refer the couple to the registry to sign up. You do not have to sign them up yourself, but taking a moment to show your clients where to sign up is recommended.

  20. How are gifts purchased? • Guests go online, view all the gifts the couples wished for and then purchase a gift for the couple. Its safe and secure we never store or reuse their information. • Remember –some gifts are not purchased until right before the wedding – the couple has all ready paid for the trip so they are essentially getting reimbursed for their expenses – they also have more spending money for their trip!

  21. What happens after a gift is purchased? • The guest sends a gift card via email, they can print it out from their computer to take with them to the wedding.. • The gift money goes into our Merrill Lynch account • We pay the Couple whenever they request it. • We pay the Couple directly – not the agent or travel supplier. • The couple can view all their cards at anytime through their account login

  22. When does everyone get paid? • The Couple can collect their gifts at anytime through pay pal (internet transfer) or check via email request. • Travel Agents are paid 30 days after the honeymoon date. • There is a $50.00 minimum to reach in commissions before checks are sent out.
