  2. Marco Polo was dazzled by the Chinese civilization.

  3. Kublai Khan • Kublai Khan was the Mongolian leader, he ruled very well, and did very much for china. • He died in 1294

  4. Kublai Kahn…….. • Extended the Grand Canal • Had the main roads fixed • Had his strong army keep peace • Tried to rule fairly • HE BROUGHT THE ENTIRE EAST AND WEST TOGETHER!

  5. Not long after Kublai Kahn’s death did the empire start to break up. The empire was to much to handle for 1 person. In addition the peoples of the empire did not feel any connection with each other. In 1398 a rebel leader captured Khanbalik and formed a new dynasty called the Ming and it lasted almost 300 years.
