Financial Context 2008/09 • Around £5.1million available through WCC funding programme • £3.4 million already committed 2009/10 • Around £5.3million available through WCC funding programme of which £4.7 million already committed leaving £600k available for allocation • £400k contribution from WPCT

Funding Principles • Option to apply for longer term funding • Funding allocated on basis of 3 years with agreement to provide specific services or activities leading to agreed outcomes • No guarantee that schemes will continue to be funded beyond the agreement period • Commitment to spread funds across service areas, care groups and localities, while targeting priority areas

Learning from the 2008/09 Process Feedback  changes for 2009/10: • All workshops held in September • Organisations aware which Officers will be attending each workshop • The Inclusion of LAA Priorities in Service Specs. • One application form • One stage assessment process – information about recommendations before Christmas • Service agreement negotiated Jan-March • One process for WCC and WPCT funding

  8. How can we help? • During application period (August/September) WCC staff and VAW staff can help with completing the forms, advising on priorities etc. • Service managers will attend the workshops and are available by telephone to discuss scheme proposals • If a scheme is not successful, we will try to give you advice on alternative sources of funding or how you can improve your chances next year
