CHINA-MALAYSIA RELATION • “China will one day become a superpower and it is only appropriate that we learn more about the country, its culture, politics, and economic development. … Malaysia & China could provide more opportunities for students to study. CHINA-MALAYSIA RELATION A joint communiqué issued May 2004: • Exploit comparative economic advantages of respective economies • Increase two-way trade by 2010 • Resolve trade dispute in accordance with WTO principles • Recognise China´s market economy status • Welcome participation of enterprises from both countries • Strengthen co-operation in agriculture
