This project explores the profound impact of music as expressed in select poems by Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, and Edgar Allan Poe. In Angelou's "Music," the essence of how music inspires movement and emotion is captured beautifully. Hughes' "Juke Box Love Song" intertwines love with the vibrant heart of Harlem, while Poe's "The Bells" evokes the joy and merriment found in sound. Each poem offers a unique perspective on music's ability to connect us to experiences and emotions, making music a universal theme in poetry.

“Music” • The main reason why I liked the poem was because it was giving me a little word about music like (Music is what makes you move Music is what makes you groove) By Maya Angelou
Juke Box Love Song • The reason why I liked the poem was because I found some stuff that was not I the other. Like this poem could take the Harlem nightand wrap around you,Take the neon lights and make a crown,Take the Lenox Avenuebusses, subways,And for your love song tone their rumble down.Take Harlem's heartbeat,Make a drumbeat,Put it on a record, let it whirl,And while we listen to it play,Dance with you till dayDance with you, my sweet brown Harlem girl. By Langston Hughes
The Bells • The reason why I chosen this poem was because it was different from the other poems I didand it tells more stuff about it. And this is the one I’m going to do for my project.
I Hear the sledges with the bells-Silver bells! What a world of merriment their melody foretells! How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,In the icy air of night!
