SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGE • Sponsoring of House 13 with 8 children • Buying gifts for Christmas • Assisting in fund raising for the village • Attending functions • 2010 – contributed R132 000 • 2011 – contributed R120 000 plus birthday and Christmas presents as well as children taken to the Spur for a meal, to the beach for an outing and to regular Sunday School

  3. MTR SMIT CHILDREN'S HAVEN • Provides accomodation for 100 statutory children between the ages of 3-18 yrs • 2010 – donated R50 000 towards an on-site psychological counsellor • 2011 – donated R50 000 towards the • on-site psychological counsellor

  4. WMC BREAD OF LIFE TRUST • Provide 155 families either infected or affected with HIV/Aids in the Walmer Township, with food parcels, medical assistance, counselling, clothing, fellowship and tea & sandwiches • 2010 – R10 000 food items for parcels • 2011 – R10 000 food items for parcels

MIRACLE MEALS –FOOD FOR AFRICA • Facilitate the feeding of about 17 000 people daily – mostly tiny tots – helping to build healthy little bodies & minds • 2010 – R18 000 toward feeding porridge to 125 children from two creches in Motherwell for one year • 2011 – R23 114 – maintained feeding of above creches & bought building materials to complete additional room on one of the creches to accommodate more children

  6. VISTARUS MISSION STATION • Mission station taking in destitute families and currently housing almost 500 destitute have embarked on a new premises. • 2011 – supplied 15 double bunks toward accommodating 100 men at the new premises in Deal Party – R29 250

  7. VP HIGH SCHOOL FEEDING SCHEME • Assisting needy pupils with sandwiches at school and their families with food parcels on a daily basis • 2010 – R5 000 food items for parcels • 2011 – R5 000 food items for parcels

  8. LOAVES & FISHES ASSOCIATION • Providing poor, previously disadvantaged groups and pensioners with food parcels • 2010 – R10 000 food items for parcels • 2011 – R10 000 food items for parcels

  9. KHAYALETHU YOUTH CENTRE • 34 street children are given the opportunity to reach full potential in this home for boys. Catering for every needs from approximately 8 yrs of age to adulthood • 2010 – R130 340.00 – donated towards school fees for 2011 and provided 3 computers for research • 2011 – R100 000 toward school fees etc. R5 000.00 donation toward their boys having done a gumboot display at Schaeffler SA, repaired their ceiling R6 000, lighting R2 000, electrical rewiring R2 000 & burglar proofing R5 000

  10. MARANATHA STREETWORKERS TRUST • Youth project Siyakathala – home-based teaching due to individual circumstances of children • 2011 – R15 000 - supplied stationey needs of some of the children and 3 computers for home-based teaching

KWAZAKHELE HIGH SCHOOL • Adopted the school with the intention of improving conditions in all aspects • Employed a Mentor & a Science teacher • Commitment to upgrading grounds, in order to make them self-sustaining and for the use of the entire community • Spent for 2011 – R , includes principal mentor, science teacher

  12. VEEPLAAS COMMUNITY PROJECT • 2011 - Bought school uniforms for over 100 children in the Veeplaas community – value R20 000 • Attended the hand-over with the mayor of NMMM – Mr Wayile

  13. SAPPHIRE ROAD PRIMARY • A school in excess of 1100 learners from disadvantaged areas • Remarkable results achieved by involving parents and community in upliftment and empowerment • 2011 – donated R30 000 to the school (R20 000 towards needs list, R5 000 toward leadership development, R5 000 toward their feeding scheme

  14. Just Inspired • An initiative in conjunction with Canadian singer Justin Hines, the aim of which is to give 20 schools a mini-makeover to improve their conditions in the schools • 2011- contributed R20 000 worth of outdoor/indoor activities to provide stimulation and co-ordinination skills to the 20 schools

  15. HOMELESS IN THE PARK • Feeding of the homeless in Joubert Park & surrounds and the East Rand. Food parcels made up and handed out • 2011 – R10 000 worth of food items contributed towards the food parcels

  16. PENTECOSTAL MISSION CHURCH • Soup Kitchen feeding underprivileged in the Timothy Valley area • 2011 – bought R5 000 food items for their soup kitchen

  17. THE SANCTUARY • Catering for pensioners who are unable to sustain themselves. Opened a charity shop to generate funds for their home as well as provide pensioners with opportunities to make items for the shop • 2011 – paid R20 000 toward the rental of their shop for the year

  18. CUYLERHOLME CENTRAL • Home for the aged feeding 60 residents plus community daily. The only facility in the NMMM providing accomodation to pensioners with special needs. • 2011 – purchased an industrial stove for the cooking of their meals – R19 800

  19. CHESHIRE HOMES CLEARY PARK • A home accommodating 43 people with physical disabilities • 2011 – repaired their water tank, 2 stoves, 2 freezers (including services) and baymarie – R25 000

  20. SHEPHERD'S FIELD ALCOHOL & SUBSTANCE ABUSE FACILITY • An in-patient treatment facility for alcohol & substance abuse. Provides rehabilitation, awareness, prevention programmes • 2011 – purchased R10 000 food items for meals • 2011 – purchased food for Christmas lunch for 70 including children from Mordecai Children's Home – R5 000

  21. HOPE COMMUNITY CLINIC • A clinic in Cleary Park, providing healthcare and social welfare to poor with emphasis on children, elderly and the terminally ill • 2011 – purchased medical equipment to the value of R16 000 and contributed R15 000 towards new premises for the clinic • Paid rental for premises Dec 11-May 12 – R15 000

  22. BE A BLESSING • Fostering 17 children in the Krakeelrivier area. Assisting parents with schooling children, vulnerable elderly and street children. Providing food items & school clothing for children within the community • 2011 – Supplied R10 000 worth of food items and R10 000 worth of school clothing

  23. LAKESIDE EDUCARE CENTRE • A creche looking after 60 children in the Salt Lake City area • 2011 – Supplied 60 water-proof matresses and educational toys to the value of R10 000
