  2. Matthew 28:19-20 • Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

  3. The Apostles Were… • Few in number • Short on talent • Weak in understanding • And full of imperfections But they changed the world because they trusted the promise.

  4. Discipleship 101 v. 52- They had gained no insight THE PROMISE, that was given later, changes everything • Mk. 6:8, Lesson? Success was not due to their resources. • Mk. 6:30-34, Lesson? Do your work and you will be equipped. • Mk. 6:45-52, Lesson? The Lord will get you where you need to go.

Genesis 12:1-3 • Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

  6. Exodus 3:12 • He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

  7. Joshua 1:9 • Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

  8. Judges 6:16 • And the Lord said to him, “But I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”

  10. Moving Molehills? Matthew 17:20 ~ Moving mountains? We only need God when we have a GOD-SIZED TASK Not much incentive there for YOU or for GOD You can move molehills by your self

  11. Malachi 3:10 • Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

  13. We have Battles to Fight! Laziness Anger Greed Envy Lust Pride Selfishness Doing good works Hospitality Teaching Inviting Evangelism Alcohol Dope Painkillers Depression medications tobacco

  14. God Asks Us to Live our Lives Just Like We Started Them. • No knowledge of what you would learn or what talents you might develop • No real idea of what you would be challenged to do • No inkling of what direction you would go in But trusting Jesus to point and provide
