  3. Terms • The length of a President's term in office is four years. • A President can run for two consecutive terms.

  4. Salary • The president's salary was increased from $200,000 to $400,000 in 2001. • The president's current salary of $400,000 includes a $50,000 expense allowance.

  5. Benefits • You get to live in the white house. • 24 hour protection from secret services for life. • u get to ride in the special jet used only for the president is called air force one.

  6. Roles • Commander-In-Chief • The president is in charge of the U.S. armed forces: the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. The president decides where troops shall be stationed, where ships shall be sent, and how weapons shall be used. All military generals and admirals take their orders from the President. • Chief of Party • the president helps members of his political party get elected or appointed to office.. The president campaigns for those members who have supported his policies. • Chief Executive • The president is "boss" for millions of government workers in the Executive Branch, deciding how the laws of the United States are to be enforced and choosing officials and advisers to help run the Executive Branch.

Additional qualities • A good president needs to listen to the people they have control over. • Whether they are president of a company or president of a country they need to take into account what is good for the entire population or the majority of the population rather than what is best for them or for a select few.
