  1. 6 COMMON LANDSCAPE MISTAKES 01. Putting Plants in the Wrong Places Just because a plant looks great at a certain place doesn’t mean you must put it there. Inspect how much sunlight the plant will need; see if the soil condition is good for the plant, etc. If you don’t consider the needs of the plant, then it won’t bloom to its fullest. 02. Cutting the Grass Lower Avoid cutting the grass too low. This is because you are directly stripping off the grass’s ability to perform photosynthesis. Short grass can also lead to the production of weak and unhealthy roots that have a problem in absorbing nutrients. 03. Not Having A Plan One cannot create a healthy and impressive landscape overnight. You require a deliberate plan that thinks about the available space, climate, water needs, functionality, color, and much more. With the right plan, you will know how to use features, make choices, and plan things to make everything look better. 04. Improper Pruning Habits Proper pruning habits will promote and control newer growths. In fact, pruning is one of the important parts of landscape maintenance. If you follow poor pruning habits, then you will end damaging the plant and the landscape. 05. Overwatering Plants have water needs, and they usually depend on nature for it. So, unless you see signs of dehydration, avoid extra watering the plant. If possible, ask your professional landscaping company about the water needs. 06. Lack of Edging Defining the lines is key. Improper edging will only lead to a poor division of elements. walnutridgelandscape.com
