  12. Ongoingprojects Complex regulation of Szekszárd-Bátai canal Cost Preparation: 33 790 000 HUF (160 900 USD) Construction: 643 167 000 HUF (3 062 700 USD) Goals • Provide faster diversion of the harmful surplus waters, • Decreasing the excess water risk of the settlements in the surrounding area, • Making the possibility of the ground water’ regulation, • Creating a new canal bed which is more adaptable for the extreme weather caused by the global climate change Indicators • Decreasing the level of the Bátai sluice’ bottom, • Increasing the capacity of the channel in the flood bed of river Danube • Creating new bed for small discharges through 35,5 km within Szekszárd-Bátai canal, • Renewing the Sárpilis dam at the 20+170 km section of the canal

  13. Ongoing projects Development of the Séd-Sárvízi canal Cost Preparation: 56 097 000 HUF (267 000 USD) Construction: 1 193 747 215 HUF (5 684 500 USD) Goals • Repairing the bed’s hydraulics characteristics • Reconstruction of the smaller spillways and sluices • More water resources leading to the system • By repairing the stream flow of the canal, the risk of flood will decrease but the safety of water supply will be higher Indicators • Regulation of stream bed through 70,7 km • Creating lower slope of the banks • Sludge will be hold in the site within our area • Contaminated sludge will be carried away or clean for further using • Protection of riverbed will be strengthened by stone beams and plastic frameworks • Planting trees in the bank • Reconstruction of sluices • Reconstruction of the division structure at Királyszentistván, • Renewing six dams and six spillway sluices, • Renewing the Aquaduct, •  Building a new channel in Ősi for providing more water resources from Nádor canal to this canal • Creating a new monitoring point with automatically working instrument • .

  14. Ongoing projects Exemption of PeremartongyártelepNorthern mining area Cost Preparation: 93 094 000 Ft (443300 USD) Construction: 5 427 123 000 Ft (25 843 400 USD) Goals By cleaning the affected area • the medical risk caused by the contamination will disappear, • the karstic water and the nearby stream will e protected from the contamination • The area’s environmental status will get better, healthier. Indicators • 86 000 tonnes waste and contaminated soil will be carried away. • 67 841 m2 cleaned area. • By cleaning the area the operating drinking water wells wont be endangered by contamination, so 6024 inhabitants’ medical condition will be better.

  15. Proposed projects Complex reconstruction of the Siófok barrage’s structures Goals • Providing suitable water level control and the structure working safety. Indicators • Reconstruction oh the water level controlling structure • Reconstruction of the ship lock • Developing the dam’ controlling System at Balatonkiliti Estimated Cost Preparation: 50 000 000 HUF (238 000 USD) Construction: 1 000 000 000 HUF (4 760 000 USD)

  16. Proposed projects Reconstruction of River Sió Estimated Cost Preparation: 500 000 000 HUF (2 380 000 USD) Construction: 12 000 000 000 HUF (57 120 000 USD) Goals Providing the suitable riverbed characterization for the stream flow drained from Balaton and also for shipping.

  17. Proposed projects Preparation for big lakes’ projects Balaton, Lake Velencei Estimated Cost - Balaton Preparation: 600 000 000 HUF (2 856 000 USD) Construction: 500 000 000 HUF (2 380 000 USD) Estimated Cost – Lake Velencei Preparation: 300 000 000 HUF (1 428 000 USD) Construction: 300 000 000 HUF (1 428 000 USD) Goals For establishing the big lakes developing programs before its beginning we have to do many researches for giving a stabile background for the decisions’ making process. Indicators • Surveying the lake’s bed • Big instrument developing at the banks and also on the surface of the lake for measuring valuable parameters • Providing fast and direct access to the collected data • Surveying harbours and other structures including the measurement of the sludge and water quality’s parameters • Ecological surveying in every five years   • Creating the lakes' hydrological atlas from the collected information

  18. Proposed projects Development of the Kapos-Koppány’s catchment basins Estimated Cost  Preparation: 1 000 000 000 HUF ( 4 760 000 USD) Construction: 25 000 000 000 HUF (119 000 000 USD) Goals • Complex development program in the catchment basin to ensure the sustainable development's conditions. This program is based on the corrections of the present water management conditions. Indicators • Regulation of water flow preventing the sites from flood damages • Converting the agricultural lands using • Reconstruction of natural values, wetlands, reservoirs • Building new reservoirs • Decreasing the soil’s degradation

  19. Proposed projects Development of the Fehérvárcsurgói reservoir and the reconstruction of the joint streams: Gaja and Mór-bodajki Goals • With enlarging of the reservoirs’ capacity the downstream valley’s safety against flood will be higher. • The more water is hold back in the reservoir, the more water can be used in the catchment area during drought periods. • For the suitable stream flow Gaja and Mór-Bodajki stream have to be regulated. Estimated Cost Preparation: 230 000 000 HUF (1 095 000 USD) Construction: 3 000 000 000 HUF (14 280 000 USD)

  20. Proposedprojects Creating arrangement plan for problems caused by karstic water level rising in Central-Transdanubian Hills range Goals • Creating karstic water map which shows the current karstic level • Creating a model to forecast the position of the karstic water level in the future • Exploring the phenomena, the real or potential pollutants, and creating a description and a map of that information. • Designing the interventions after the mentioned surveying • Realizing and maintaining the interventions Estimated Cost  Preparation: 50 000 000 HUF ( 238 000 USD) Construction: 1 500 000 000 HUF (7 140 000 USD)
