  3. Our Objectives • Inform the community about what is happening with this population of animals. • Promote adoptions with Poster Exhibit and a Carnival. • Endorse consciousness about pets in society. • Tell the location of some NWA shelters.

  4. Tasks Completed • Each team member contacted as many local shelters as possible • Photographed animals at shelters • Learned information about each individual shelter • Nationwide data collected on Internet • Promoted Annual Howl-o-Ween Carnival • Displayed poster at NWACC to promote local animals available for adoption

Pet Overpopulation • Every year millions of animals are needlessly disposed of, simply because there are not enough homes for them all • In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats • In six years, one female dog and her offspring can theoretically produce 67,000 dogs
