The Statewide Academic Program Inventory aims to centralize and automate program data across all delivery sectors. Key technical challenges include the lack of a real-time inventory system, inconsistent use of the NCES 2010 Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) codes, and the need to identify branch campus programs. Automating updates will require ongoing programming and maintenance. Once complete, the inventory will facilitate student program searches, support industry needs, and enhance workforce planning, benefiting educational institutions and stakeholders statewide.
