Welcome to my 2nd grade classroom at Johnson Elementary! With over a decade of teaching experience, I am excited to support your child's education. Our curriculum spans Reading, Writing, Spelling, Math, Science, and Social Studies, emphasizing skill development through engaging activities. THEME Inquiry Based Science Magnets, Sound, Light, Plants, Animal Life Cycles, Solar System, and Natural Disasters. My Community Social Studies Alive! My Community teaches students the basics of geography, economics, and citizenship in the context of learning about their local community. Readings are reinforced by activities that develop a wide range of skills. These skills include designing a community within the classroom, making a simple toy using assembly-line techniques, and acting out people’s experiences in different time periods.
