  1. PATENT APPLICATION TITLE OF INVENTION : OILSPILL PROTECTION KIT

  2. PATENT APPLICATION • Background of the invention • Related cross- references • Claims • Summary of the invention • Innovation

  3. PATENT APPLICATION BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION • Oil spills frequently occur in the ocean, rivers. Any standard • countermeasure is defined to be applied immediatly. • The Protection systems known are mostly of Mechanical Containment, • - barriers, booms and skimmers - which have some disadvantages. • Chemical and Biological Systems are not integrated in a way that can • be use in “Real Time”. • Most of the Devices are optimised for one kind of oil. (fuel-oil, crude, • gasoil, gasoline).

  4. PATENT APPLICATION RELATED CROSS-REFERENCES: Considering the “Oil spills protection” field: This invention relates to the field of hazardous materials and more particularly to systems for containing oil spills. - USP Field of Innovation – class: Hydraulic and Earth Engineering – 405 - Sub Class: 60 – Oil spill containment

  5. PATENT APPLICATION • USP 5834567 – Biodegradable Coplymer Composition • Yasuda, Hajine – Daicel Chemical Ind. Japan (1997) • USP 5753108 – Integrated Oil Response and Recovery • Haynes W. Charles P. Hanabe R.J. 1995. USA. • USP 5338132 – Oil Spill containment system • Lahan; Donald H. 1992. USA • USP5120159 - Oil Containment system for emergency Use • Smith; Richard D. Black Stone Company. 1991. USA

  6. PATENT APPLICATION CLAIM : • What I claim as my invention is an automated“real time” device that starts a process against an occurred oil spill, in considering danger situations in the oil ships, comprising: • ·Activation System Unit - Main Control Box, 2 inclinometer sensors, 2 impact sensors. • ·Floating Device - Four floatable containers with chemical agent . • ·FOA - floating oil agglomerating agent

  7. PATENT APPLICATION CLAIM : • I claim a device that can be used, considering a wide range of oils, fuel-oil, crude, gasoil, gasoline. • - It is compatible for different chemicals.

  8. PATENT APPLICATION SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: • The present invention provides an oil containment system for mounting on oil ships. • Can be easily and rapidly manually activated or sensor activated, when an accident occurs or a danger situation that could cause a oil spill. • After activated, the system releases the floating devices.

  9. PATENT APPLICATION SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: • Once the floating devices reach the water, FOA is gradually released acting as agglomerating agent, preventing the oil to reach the coast or to disperse in the ocean. • Agglomerates can then easily be picked with a mechanical method, and the oil recycled.

  10. PATENT APPLICATION INNOVATION: • A based sensor automated system, assembled in the oil ships. • The “Real Time” response of this system.
