These artworks were used as means to communicate and pass on the cultural legacy to the future generations. Loaded with vibrant colours and unique symbolism, these artworks hold a unique place in the world. While the paintings have a sea of colours, the sacred Aboriginal colours are Black, Red, Yellow and White. ● Black​ - This colour is used to represent the earth, marking the campfires of ancestors. ● Red - The colour red is a representation of fire, energy and blood.
