  2. Summary When Julian Carter Li’s mother goes away on a trip to China Julian is forced to live with his rich aunt and uncle. That might sound great, but for Julian that is horrible. They are extremely strict and just plain mean. So when Julian accidentally finds an email accusing his uncle of cutting down Big Tree Grove, an area where some of the last redwoods in the world are he doesn't only believe it. He tries to save the trees. Will he be in time to save the redwoods, or will his uncle cut them down them down first? Read Operation Redwood to find out.

  4. Exploration For my exploration I did more research on redwoods. This is what I found: • The tallest living redwood tree is 367 ft 6 in tall. This is 5 stories taller than the statue of Liberty • The oldest redwood tree is 2,213 years old • A redwood called General Sherman is more than a hundred feet around at the base • Redwoods date back to about 240 million years ago • There is only about 5% of the original redwood forest left in the world These are scale picture that will help you understand the size and what is left of the redwoods today.
