This study investigates the effect of oxygen concentration on insulin receptor (IR) tyrosine phosphorylation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Cells were incubated for 16 hours at 37°C in environments containing 21%, 7%, or 1% O2. Immunoblots with specific antibodies were utilized to analyze cell lysates. The quantification of IR tyrosine phosphorylation in relation to total insulin receptor levels was assessed across three independent experiments, each conducted in duplicate, providing insight into how oxygen levels influence insulin signaling.
