Find Injury Attorney Las Vegas

Knowing how and why an accident occurred is often difficult to determine, especially long after the date of the accident. If a party is not issued a traffic citation, or if police officers do not appear at the accident scene at all, insurance companies often refuse to honor valid claims. We can help sort out and identify the relevant facts of an accident to determine whether you can seek compensation for your injuries.<br>

  2. About Paul Weiss started the firm with his cousin in 1994. Founded with the intent to cultivate stable relationships within the community, the firm emphasizes quality of representation over advertising campaigns. Weiss & Christensen insists that clients meet personally the lawyers and paralegals working on their cases. Clients are encouraged to consult with the firm during the course of legal representation. We believe in a hands-on approach that dates from when the firm began, when Paul handled every aspect of his clients’ cases, from answering the first phone call to concluding litigation. Most of the firm’s employees have spent the majority of their professional careers with the firm. In handling your claim, your insurance company also owes you a duty of good faith and fair dealing. Your insurance company violates this duty when it acts unreasonably to avoid covering your claim. We can determine whether the breach of this duty entitles you to contractual and even punitive damages. We are familiar with insurance claims handling standards and can hold insurance companies responsible for violating them.

  4. Bicycle And Pedestrian Accidents Bicycle And Pedestrian Accidents While bicycle and pedestrian accidents are small in number, some data suggests that even this small number constitutes a disproportionately high percentage of all travel-related accidents, and an even greater percentage of accidents involving serious injury. Despite this, many automobile drivers, and even insurance adjusters, do not understand the rights of cyclists and pedestrians. If you are injured as a cyclist or pedestrian, we can help you to understand the applicable laws and properly value your injury claim. Motorcycle Accidents Motorcycle Accidents Great efforts have been made to make motorcycle use safer. Education and training are emphasized more than ever, and new fabrics and materials provide greater abrasion resistence, weather protection, and visibility. Despite this, motorcycles are still involved in a higher percentage, per mile driven, of accidents in general and fatalities in particular. Evidence suggests that more than half of these accidents involve an automobile driver who failed to see the motorcyclist. We have represented many motorcyclists. We understand the unique challenges motorcyclists face on the road, and we provide representation tailored for their needs.

  5. Slip And Fall Slip And Fall Slip and fall injuries generally occur when a person who owns or controls real property allows a hazardous condition to exist on that property, causing an injury. Insurance companies and many property owners fail to take slip and fall accidents seriously, often blaming victims for their injuries. They are wrong, especially when property owners have notice of a hazardous condition and do nothing to abate it. For over twenty years we have brought legal action against property owners who refuse to take responsibility for their negligent failure to prevent slip and fall accidents. DRUG AND PRODUCT INJ DRUG AND PRODUCT INJURY Claims involving faulty drugs or other products can implicate both state and federal law, and they may be handled in accordance with a number of liability theories, including negligence, breach of warranty, strict liability, and others. In addition, manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, and others may be held liable for damages caused by a defective product. We have over twenty years’ experience representing parties in product liability actions. We are familiar with proper liability theories and can calculate a proper measure of recovery in your case. 6. Workmen’s compensation Workmen’s compensation You have a right to work in a safe environment. Nevada employers are required to provide workers compensation insurance, and they are not allowed to retaliate against employees who report injuries on the job. Unfortunately, the workers compensation system is not administered with your best interests in mind, nor does it always provide the best medical care. If you are injured at work, we can help you navigate through the workers compensation system to obtain the best medical care and an appropriate outcome.
