This presentation explores clinical challenges in recognizing, diagnosing, and treating anaphylaxis, including its newer definitions and subtleties. Attendees will learn to differentiate between anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions, as well as understand the significance of biphasic anaphylaxis. An emphasis will be placed on optimizing treatment approaches, particularly the early initiation of treatment using intramuscular versus subcutaneous epinephrine. The case of a 10-year-old male patient presenting with symptoms will provide a practical illustration of these concepts.
