  1. Indian movie screened at the “World Film Festival of Bangkok” Screened as the opening film of the Indian Panorama 2003 in the international film festival ANNAHAT (ETERNITY) 27th October AIT Center 6.00 P.M. FREE Annahat revolves around two individuals — a king who is unable to provide an heir and a queen forced to choose a potent mate for one night. But while the queen is ordered to merely produce an inheritor through the prevalent custom of Niyoga, she ends up enjoying the sexual act. Set in 10th century BC, Annahat (Eternity) is a tale of woman's awareness of her sexual desires. In this male dominated society, women are unable to identify their own needs, wants and desires. But in Amol Palekar's Annahat, the Queen breaks this alienation and asserts herself against male dominance. Director: Amol Palekar Highlight: A discussion and Question- Answer session with Director and Writer after the movie Cast: Sonali Bendre, Anant Nag, Deepti Naval, Pradeep Welankar Language: Marathi (with English Subtitles ) Do not miss this opportunity to watch one of the masterpieces from Indian Cinema
