  4. Workshop Objectives • Introduce participants to AGORA • Demonstrate how to use AGORA and the electronic journals in its collection • Provide hands-on experience using and accessing these electronic resources • Discuss needs for training end-users at participants’ institutions

Major Topics in this Workshop • What is AGORA • Content; Partners; Management; User Eligibility; Online vs. CD Access • Introduction to the Internet and Electronic Library Resources • Technical Requirements for AGORA -Internet -Connection of 56k baud rate or higher -Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher OR Netscape version 6 or higher OR Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or higher -Adobe Acrobat viewer (for PDF articles) • How to Use AGORA • Getting Started; Navigating AGORA; Finding Journals; Retrieving Full-Text Articles; CABI Abstract Search; Navigating Publishers’ Sites • Other Resources • E.g. HINARI, TEEAL, OARE, INASP, IMARK etc.
