  5. Principal remains the same – current budget share should be spent on current pupils • Previously the FPT worked out the BCM for you from April and the amount remained the same • Now the budget can change eg Place Plus so BCM may change Balance Control Mechanism

  6. New form to complete for all schools • Will be included in 9 month returns • Enter Y/E forecast for I01,I02.I03.I05 and I18 • Enter Y/E forecast for expenditure • Enter any unspent collaborative funding Balance Control Mechanism

  7. Will calculate whether you are under/over • Complete request to exceed limit if applicable • Must send in supporting evidence • Capital projects – GB minutes, AEO approval, School Development Plan Balance Control Mechanism

  8. Kent County Council approval to meet the cost of redundancies will only be given where the redundancies are necessary due to budget constraints. • This was agreed by the Schools Funding Forum • ` Redundancy Payments

  9. The Headteacher should ring or email Schools Financial Services for a redundancy application • Headteacher Briefings – will be discussed Redundancy Payments

  10. List of Documents • Governing Body minutes • Agenda • Signed minutes • Attachments eg signed 3 year plan Compliance

  11. SFS will contact all schools by email from Monday 21st October • Confirm details of all cardholders • Need cardholders to re-sign their responsibilities Corporate Cards

  12. No longer require barring (except cash) – will be asked to confirm in writing • All further amendments will then be in writing Corporate Cards

  13. Kent Education Learning and Skills • Gradually replacing Kent Trust Web • Will be duplicated for a while • Links to Edukent website for information included in Core Financial Support package KELSI
