  3. I. Literary Terms of the Day motif – an idea, character, symbol, or image that recurs in a literary work or works. protagonist – the character doing most of the action in the story antagonist – the character who is in most conflict with the protagonist

  4. II. Tragic Hero Essay • Review assignment sheets and dates B. NOTE: there is a homework assignment – a paragraph – due Friday!!
