  4. Zero Waste San Diego • Found in January 2007 • Became an official 501(c)3 March 2009 • Agenda Driven • Education • Special Venues • Grassroots Organizing • Comprised of volunteers, no staff

  7. Listservs • Create your own • Google & yahoo • Join already established ones • National and local groups • Keywords: recycling, sustainable, your community name

  8. Social Media Networking • Facebook • Create a group/page for your organization • Groups – basic bulletin board features • Pages – more advanced • Applications (ie. Causes) • Page Activity Statistics • Ad development • Twitter • Short messages and ads. • Texting through the phone and/or computer • LinkedIn • Business networking
