Beijing Olympics • Mock disaster advisory sent by CMCG Co-Leaders 0010H UTC • Level 1 (Catastrophic/Critical) • Calamity at Taiwan area • Multiple cable failure • Instruction to download and review disaster report, details from PPM DRP website • Instruction to dial-in to Comm 2/DRP conference bridge at designated time PPM Principals Meeting, Xian

Beijing Olympics • Results • Participating Carriers able to log on to the PPM DRP site, download report within the target period of one (1) hour after advisory was issued • There were reports of the site becoming temporarily offline; PLDT investigated and advised uploading of new info by website administrator was the cause; process was corrected. • Participants able to retrieve and review with internal teams and counterparts their PBR’s within four (4) hours after downloading the report • Except for one participant, most were able to get into the designated DRP audio-conference bridge at designated time. Beijing Olympics • Observations (*discussed at exercise audiocon) • Some carriers had extensive contingency plans for the Olympics, e.g., AT&T • Some needed to update their contingency plans and bilateral/multilateral work arrangements, to be pursued on private basis. • Summary • Exercise went fairly well and triggered positive onward actions, some of which need to be pursued by some partners • Active participation of all partners is recommended PPM Principals Meeting, Xian
