History… • Unknown…..but… • Appears to be an older school • No gym, media center or faculty bathrooms • Scheduled for renovation in the upcoming year or two • One of the older teachers did her student teaching at this school and has been there ever since!!!

MyDuties • Reading Buddies • Each month a book from the “Learning to Get Along” series is selected to read to all of the Kindergarten and First grade classes • These books focus on character education and social skills • Every Friday I read to around 3 classes for about 20 minutes each
My Duties continued… • Individual “Therapy” • Lunch and Snack Time • I eat snack with a boy in 2nd grade every Friday • After snack we then play with the toys Ms. Justice uses for play therapy • I eat lunch with a boy in 3rd grade every Wednesday • We talk about school, home, friends, or anything else of interest and I try to encourage good behavior • I eat lunch with a girl in 4th grade every Friday • she is very quiet and needs a female role model in her life • Workbooks • I work with a boy in 2nd grade on his workbook. He draws pictures, writes sentences, and talks about different topics (ex: My Family Arguments, My Teacher, My Best Friends, My Favorite Activities
Some More Duties… • Observation: • I observe classes of all grade levels in order to get a feel for the class room and to watch how teachers organize, discipline and handle students needs • I observe classroom guidance • I also observe Ms. Justice when she does individual therapy or small group therapy • Ex: Grief Group, Fabulous Females
My Last Duties… • Planning • A. B. Cardinal • The ABC’s of alcohol for 2nd and 3rd grade, and the Life Skills class • Career Day • 5th graders-possible speakers • Community Helpers • Kindergarten
Would I recommend this site? • YES! I would definitely recommend this site! • Why? • I was always entertained, everyday is different! • It gave me a different perspective on elementary schools • Very comfortable atmosphere • Ms. Justice is flexible, fun, and always willing to help out and answer questions
