Australian SKA Pathfinder • ASKAP: $100m funding • Science case with Canada • Phased Array Feed agreement with HIA/ASTRON/CSIRO • ‘Master Plan’ available Dec 2007 • Australian SKA Coordination Committee formed • Inter-governmental agreement • Comprehensive advisory/WG structure • RALI (radiofrequency assignment licensing instruction) • Temporary license issued to CSIRO to conduct radioastronomy • auSKA: Website & Newsletter

Operations: Executive Summary • Establish integrated operation of all four ATNF telescopes • Restructure into Science Operations & Engineering Operations • Functional (not regional) groups • Establish Science Operations Centre (SOC) at central location (initially Marsfield) • Fully supported observing available at SOC only • Streamline supported modes according to scientific priorities • Balance cost against availability of observing hours, instrumentation and support
