New York State Police have determined that the primary cause of a bus accident on the Interstate 87 July 18 was caused by the drowsy bus driver who failed to maintain control of the tour bus within his lane. The driver was issued a traffic ticket for moving from a lane unsafely and for having an improper U.S. Department of Transportation marking assigned by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), which oversees commercial carriers.
