Suggested Dissemination Strategies • Email link to or distribute copies of the MA, practice brief, and PD Module to SEA staff. • Meet with SEA staff to: • Discuss instructional strategies • Provide guidance on how LEAs might improve student outcomes • Train SEA staff on how to implement PD Module so they in turn can provide TOT to LEAs • Other? Reflection Questions for SEAs • The following questions MAY be suitable for use with SEAs, particularly when beginning a discussion surrounding improving adolescent literacy instruction and introducing resources available from the Center on Instruction. • Not all questions will be appropriate for every SEA. • Feel free to modify these questions as necessary.   7. Reflection Questions for SEAs 1. What percentage of adolescent struggling readers are not meeting benchmark? 2. What do you utilize to identify struggling readers? Is the current process sufficient? 3. What evidence-based interventions are currently being utilized with struggling readers and what team members are involved (e.g., parents, reading specialists)? 4. How do you utilize data as part of your overall state-improvement process in the area of adolescent literacy? 5. How do you assist LEAs with intervention design to support and scaffold struggling readers? 6. What professional development/learning opportunities do you provide to help meet the needs of struggling readers?
