Southwest 72-hour sale: Fare fall below $100 on round-trip The twice-a-year sale of Southwest Airlines is back with round-trip fares below $100 on the shortest routes of dozens of carriers.
The sale has been launched on Tuesday morning and is better for travelling from November 28 through December 19 and from January 3 through February 13. The sale ends on Thursday, October 4th at 11:59 p.m. in the city of the departing flight. The longer routes are also covered in the sale with the price of the flights that are loosely tied to the distance. Flights begin at $49 round-way on the shortest route of the Southwest and increases accordingly to $79, $99 and $129 on round-trips for longer routes. However, flights on Fridays and Sundays are excluded and schedules for Florida, Puerto Rico, and Nevada flights have the additional weekday restrictions. Orange County flights are also excluded from the sale. The sale specifically applies to the nonstop flights, although, many connecting routes may show lower fare than the usual. Seats that would be sold at the sale prices are based on the capacity, that is, as the sales grow; the cheapest seats will likely sell out on individual flights.
