School Counselor update • Senior class presentations – counselors will be visiting Social Studies classrooms soon & will give important graduating information – particular to each student • Senior Letters – one in the fall and another in the spring • Online course deadline – May 1st • FAFSA and Bright Futures Applications Open – October 1st • Scholarship Central & Community Service Forms on the Website • Post-Admissions Checklist for Seniors – an updated version will be posted on the BRHS School counselors website

  5. FAFSA Workshops Hosted by School District of Manatee Workshops 4:30-6:30 October 10 – Lakewood ranch HS October 24 – Manatee HS November 7 – southeast HS November 14 – *manatee school for the arts (*6:00-8:00pm) January 30 – Bayshore Hs February 12 – palmetto hs february 27 – braden river hs

  7. Senior Fee • $110 • Required for all Seniors that intend to walk at graduation • Combines multiple items from previous years • Cap and Gown • 2 Shirts • 1 sweatshirt • Senior Fee (Convention Center Costs, security at Graduation, Senior Project expenses, Diploma printing, diploma covers, etc)

  8. Senior Fee $110 • Money will be collected through Student Payment Portal only.​ • Fees must be paid by April 1, 2020​

  14. Collection of $enior$ Fee$ - WEBSITE • 6. Parents will then be prompted to create an account or log in if they have already purchased items in the Web Store this year. 7. Once logged in, parents will enter their card information and complete the check out process.

Cap and Gown • included in the senior fee • Required for all seniors • This will protect each student from late fees • vendor – Herff Jones • Better quality Gown and Personalized for BRHS • We have started collecting senior stats to order the gowns. • *** PLEASE check with your child that they have completed a “white Card” to turn in to Mrs Marriner – ROOM 726 or Ms Witham ROOM 814***

  16. Graduation • Friday, May 15, 2020 • 7pm • Bradenton area Convention Center • Graduates arrive by 6pm • Tickets: • We do not have an exact number of tickets per person determined yet. • Each person attending, regardless of age, isrequired to have a ticket.

  17. Graduation practices • Mandatory! • Be on time. Students who are late will not be allowed to participate. • Attendance at ALL graduation practices is required. Students who miss any practice will not be allowed to walk at Graduation.

Graduation practice MAY 13th-Graduation at BRHS Auditorium 2pm - EVERYONE May 14 - Graduation Practice at BRHS Auditorium           Caps/Gowns/Tassels/Tickets will be distributed                  2:00 - 2:55 – Top 10% only 3:00– 4:25– Arts and Business (2 academies) 4:30 - 5:55 – Engineering and Science  (2 academies)

  19. Day of Graduation • May 15 • Bradenton Area Convention Center • 8:45 Am – 11:00 Am • graduates be back at convention center at 6pm • Graduation ceremony starts at 7pm

  20. Grad bash • Optional; Not included in Senior Fee • April 17, 2020 • $160 • We will be at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventures from 4pm – 2Am • Tickets will be sold in February

Senior Advisory Board • Other events throughout the year, Cost included in senior fee • Senior Spirit Week • Senior award ceremony • Senior breakfast – May 4th during 1st period • Anchors away party – May 8th at 6:30pm BRHS Auditorium • Senior Advisory Board has a committee that will be working on senior privileges • Many more!

Sign up at www.cadystudios.com • November 1st – Senior Dedications/ads due • Order form and money are due Order forms are available at www.thecannonyearbook.com

  23. Graduation announcements and other senior items • Optional for Students; not included in senior fee • Herff Jones • Herff Jones will distribute packets to students on Thursday, November 14th • They will be taking orders on Friday, November 22nd & Tuesday, December 3rd
