Moving from Research Object to Research Partner: Strengthening the Position of the Swedish Disability Movement

This 3-year project by the Swedish Disability Federation aims to establish better relations and strengthen the position of the disability movement in the research debate. The project focuses on social research and the relationship between individuals and society, regardless of diagnosis. It emphasizes the participation of people with disabilities in all stages of research, declaring different roles, and increasing scientific quality. The project also aims to foster cooperation with universities and create a Nordic center for Disability Studies. Through study circles and collaboration with policy makers and residential colleges, the project seeks to empower researchers with disabilities and encourage creative dialogue. The goal is to improve the lives of persons with disabilities through research.
