The COGI action list

This action plan aims to improve the availability and awareness of geographic information (GI) within the Commission services. It includes joint acquisition of basic GI, developing a data policy, reducing duplication of effort, and improving the Commission's image in GI activities.

  2. Improve the availability of GI within the Commission services Action line 1 by proposing the joint acquisition of basic GI complying with common specifications and needs

  3. Improve the level of awareness Action line 2 Amongst middle and higher management of the Commission

  4. Project a coherent image of the Commission’s GI activities to the outside world Action line 3

  5. Develop a data policy concerning projects partly or totally funded by the Commission Action line 4
