  2. INTRODUCTION UAE, Land of desserts, is well known among Indians as the land of opportunities as well. In 70’s and 80’s people used to travel to UAE in search of a job and with sheer determination and hard work have made most out of it. Indians even rank among the richest and most influential personalities in UAE. UAE is one land which has always extended its helping hand towards India whenever India was in need of one. This helping hand has been most of the time extended by Indians who are staying there. In this section we take a look at some of the faces who have brought a smile on millions of faces in India.

  4. P MOHAMED ALI Let’s start with a Philanthropist who is also the founder of first Indian school and Galfar construction in UAE, Dr P Mohamed Ali. An accomplished and extremely revered man of affairs based mostly in Asian country, Dr P Mohamed Ali could be a multifarious temperament far-famed for his robust commitment in education and philanthropic gift. He has created important contributions to the infrastructure development in Asian country and Asian nation and is thought to be a caring patron of the massive Indian expatriate community within the gulf region. Dr P Mohamed Ali, a civil engineer, came to Oman in 1972 where he laid the foundation of the flagship company Galfar Engineering, the largest private sector employer in the country. The group’s engagements cover the domains of civil & industrial construction; oil & gas; roads & bridges; manufacturing; heavy equipment; electrical & instrumentation; water & waste water management; education and hospitality

  5. Contribution Dr P Mohamed Ali has always had special affection towards his home country. The uplift of his native village community in Kerala was one thing that he always kept close to his heart. In 2005 P Mohamed Ali founded the TalikulamVikas Trust. This trust was basically created to help his fellow villagers with a dream project which had a common message “Education, Employment, house and Health for all”. The P.M foundation promotes education among backward communities. He is also the founder of MFAR construction in Bangalore, India. Dr P Mohamed Ali is a member of the Governing Body of the Council for Promotion of Overseas Employment, established by the Government of India. In Oman, Dr Mohamed Ali has been the founder Chairman of the Oman Society of Contractors (OSC); the Oman Petroleum Alliance (OPAL); and Vice Chairman of the Omanization Joint Committee, all high level bodies constituted by the Government of Oman.

MA YUSUFFALI Contribution MA Yusuffali is long regarded the unofficial ambassador of India to the Gulf as a full, has given liberally throughout natural calamities viz., wave relief in Asia or hurricane and flood relief in different elements of the globe. Yusuffali has taken additional care in making certain that the expatriate Indians within the Gulf are assured of all their social, economic and spiritual welfare. One example is his efforts to find land for the Christian community within the region to make churches and securing incineration grounds for the Hindu world within the Gulf.
