Unveiling Bonded Labor: The Hidden Crisis of Exploitation and Modern Slavery

DESCRIPTION

An estimated 2.5 million people are trapped in bonded labor, working without pay, with 80% of these victims subjected to sexual exploitation. Often socially vulnerable, these individuals are lured with false promises of a better life and bright futures by their captors. The majority of victims are women, highlighting the urgent need for awareness and action. Disturbingly, a 2005 BBC survey revealed that 1 in 10 men have purchased sex, underscoring the societal issues surrounding this ongoing crisis. It’s time to address and combat human trafficking and exploitation.
