  2. Have you tried Wikipedia? Hi, can I help you? Where can I find out more about the complete fictional biography of Man-Thing? No, I haven’t. It has fictional biographies of nearly every major comic book character, and several of the lesser-known ones. ENCYCLOPEDIAS!

  3. Wow! Do you know which comic sold the most last month? Diamond Distributors are the leading supplier of comic books shops in North America. We can look it up! They list market shares and the most widely-sold comics, as well as other industry statistics, on their website. STATISTICAL SOURCES! ICV2 also release sales monthly sales estimates. In February DC’s Justice League of America #1 sold an estimated 307, 734 copies!

  4. Later… I’m so angry about books being banned I have forgotten how to use the internet! What is the latest news regarding the attempt to ban MarjaneSatrapi’s Persepolis from a school in Chicago? Let’s check the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund’s website! WEBSITES! This website provides up-to-date and historical information on legal events surrounding comic books and censorship.

  5. Thanks for that great info!My friend and I are making a comic! Who would be interested in publishing it? DIRECTORIES! If I can just reach it… Got it! …including companies producing comic books!

  6. My friend told me you guys have some books on how to make comics. How about Drawing Words and Writing Pictures: Making Comics: Manga, Graphic Novels, and Beyond. And then… Where you looking for information on a particular style? It’s a "how-to" book for developing comic art that not only looks professional, but also contains compelling narrative arcs and characters. No, not really… Just a general guide. HANDBOOKS!

  7. Wow! You really know your stuff! Let’s check the Overstreet Price Guide! It’s the authoritative comic book price guide, and has been around since 1970! It’s worth about a dollar! Guess I should get back to studying… Can you help me find out how much my “Very Good” copy of the red chromium foil Spider-Man 2099 #1 is worth? It provides an alphabetical title listing of the vast majority of comic books, and prices based on various quality grades. INDEXES!

  8. Meanwhile… Someone told me Superman lives in Delaware; is that true? I don’t know! Let's check the Atlas of the DC Universe to find out.

  9. Here it is! GEOGRAPHICAL SOURCES! It features information regarding many of the fictional cities and countries that exist in the DC Universe. Superman’s home city of Metropolis is in Delaware! And Gotham City is just across the Delaware Bay in New Jersey!

  10. And then… I’m looking for articles on manga piracy in North America. Where do I start? You should try the Online Bibliography of Anime and Manga Research! Let me think… It provides academic citations to everything from monographs to presentations to dissertations. BIBLIOGRAPHIES!
