  1. Warm-Up EA2: Example (in red pencil)Trade drafts with a partner. 1. Underline the topic sentence and concluding sentence. Do BOTH state the purpose (fictional or figurative heroes, traits?) 2. Circle ALL transitions. Are they appropriate? 3. Are the MLA citations correct? (Author #). 4. Does the trait MATCH the textual evidence? 5. Is there ENOUGH commentary? (plot and explanation to DEFNED character and trait; commentary should SURROUND textual evidence!) 6. Locate and LABEL the appositive (box, underline circle.)
