  1. Hideout A Book Talk by Aidan

  2. Author and Illustrator Author and Illustrator is Gordon Korman

  3. Main Characters and Their Traits **Griffin Bing** Traits: Always has an excuse because when the parents asked where Luther was Griffin said he was no where to be seen even though Griffin knew he was hiding in a basement. Always has a plan because when a parent asked what was in his bag he had books instead of Luther. Is a leader because he comes up with the plans and tells others what to do.

  4. **Savannah** Traits: Loves pets because when she had to send Luther to Camp Ta-Da! She was scared and wanted to go with Luther. Cares because when Swindle tried to take Luther she punched Swindle in the gut. Crazy because she had a birthday party for Luther.

  5. **Swindle** Traits: Greedy because he only wanted to sell Luther for the money. He is a stealer because he broke into the pound and stole Luther's sheet. Swindle is lazy because he hired spies to do his job.

  6. **Luther the Dog** Traits: Hates being inside because Logan had to bribe him to get inside. Will do anything to stay with Savannah because when the gang got caught he tried to break through a wall and then a person. Luther is a barker because he barked the whole way to Griffin and Savannah’s camp and in the cabin Griffin hid Luther in.

  7. Setting *In a small town called Cedarville in New York In Savannahs house at a birthday party for Luther I think the story takes place in the present.

  8. Genre Realistic Fiction because someone could… ~hide a dog while at camp ~break into houses to find the true identity of someone ~stay outside of a bad guys house and break into it once they fall asleep.

  9. My Favorite Part At the end of the book Swindle caught the gang in his rented cabin. Savannah protected Luther when she punched Swindle and then the parents come. Then Pitch shows Savannah the sheet she found in Swindle’s SUV that said Luther was legally Savannah’s dog.

  10. Why I Picked this Book I picked this book because I have read other books in the series and liked all of them.

  11. Rating I would rate Hideout 4 stars because at times it drove up excitement and at other times it could get scary or weird or even crazy.

  12. Main Events Main Event 1: Swindle wants his dog back just for the money Main Event 2: Swindle wins court order for Luther Main Event 3: Griffin is thinking about taking Luther to camp Main Event 4: Part 2 of the plan where to hide Luther at camp Main Event 5: Luther is legally Savannah’s dog after Pitch finds the form in Swindle’s SUV that says Swindle gave up the dog and will not want it again.

  13. Summary The summary is that Griffin and Savannah have to hide Luther so Savannah won’t lose Luther the dog to Swindle. Griffin and Savannah hide Luther at Camp Ebony Lake where they are staying, Camp Ta-Da where Melissa and Logan are staying, and last at Camp Endless Pines where Ben and Pitch are staying. They also broke into E.B. Smiths cabin for his true identity. Finally Swindle found Luther. The gang stayed at the cabin even if they got in trouble. Their parents showed up. Pitch showed the form and now Luther is Savannah’s dog. To hear the whole story read this great book.
