  2. In the Old Testament, the prophets understood the covenant between God and His people as a marital covenant. Isaiah the prophet said. "For the Lord delights in you… As the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you." Is. 62: 4,5) لان الرب يسر بك ...... وكفرح العريس بالعروس يفرح بك الهك . ..أش 62 :4و5

Hosea the Prophet "And it shall be in that day, Says the Lord, that you will call me 'My Husband', and no longer call Me 'My Master'… I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in loving kindness and mercy. I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness and you shall know the Lord." (Hos.2: 16-20) ويكون في ذلك اليوم يقول الرب انك تدعينني رجلي .... واخطبك لنفسي الى الابد واخطبك لنفسي بالعدل والحق والاحسان والمراحم. اخطبك لنفسي بالامانة فتعرفين الرب. A similar statement was mentioned in the book of Exodus chapter45, in the book of Jeremiah 2:2, and in the book of Ezekiel 16: 7-14.

  4. In the new testament: St. John the Baptist looked at this marriage saying: "He who has the bride is the bridegroom.." (John 3: 29) من له العروس فهو العريس . يو3-29 St. Paul said, "For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." (2 Cor. 11: 2) فاني اغار عليكم غيرة الله لاني خطبتكم لرجل واحد لأقدم عذراء عفيفة 2 كورنثوس 11-2للمسيح.

  5. St. John said "Then, I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." (Rev. 21:2) “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. " (Rev. 19: 7) "And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come'." (Rev. 22:17) وانا يوحنا رأيت المدينة المقدسة اورشليم الجديدة نازلة من السماء من عند الله مهيأة كعروس مزينة لرجلها. 7 لنفرح ونتهلل ونعطيه المجد لان عرس الخروف قد جاء وامرأته هيأت نفسها والروح والعروس يقولان تعال

  7. 1- The Bridegroom The bridegroom: is the Lord Jesus Christ who betrothed the church a holy bride for Him. (Eph. 5:27) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 25 ايها الرجال احبوا نساءكم كما احب المسيح ايضا الكنيسة واسلم نفسه لاجلها 26 لكي يقدسها مطهرا اياها بغسل الماء بالكلمة 27 لكي يحضرها لنفسه كنيسة مجيدة لا دنس فيها ولا غضن او شيء من مثل ذلك بل تكون مقدسة وبلا عيب.

  8. 2- Bride "Behold, you are fair, my love! Behold, you are fair! (Song of Sol. 4:1) The resurrection granted the church all spiritual beauty and power. St. Peter said, "… His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (2 Pet. 1:3,4) ها انت جميلة يا حبيبتي ها انت جميلة كما ان قدرته الالهية قد وهبت لنا كل ما هو للحياة والتقوى بمعرفة الذي دعانا بالمجد والفضيلة 4 اللذين بهما قد وهب لنا المواعيد العظمى والثمينة لكي تصيروا بها شركاء الطبيعة الالهية هاربين من الفساد الذي في العالم بالشهوة . 2 بط 1-4:3

  9. Bride’s features of beauty عيناك حمامتان من تحت نقابك 1- "You have dove's eyes behind your veil." (Song of Sol. 4:1) • resembles Dove's eyes Holy Spirit who descended from heaven. Behind the veil only the church can comprehend the mysteries of the Spirit, but to the world, the eyes are behind the veil.

  10. 2. "Your hair is like a flock of goats, going down from Mount Gilead." (Song of Sol. 4:1) شعرك كقطيع معز رابض على جبل جلعاد If The Lord Christ is the head of the Church & The church is the hair surrounding the head Without the Head, the hair is nothing. Then

  11. On Mount Gilead, the Lord appeared to Laban and warned him saying, "Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad." (Gen. 31:24) Hence, the believer feels secure that no one can touch him. فأخبر لابان في اليوم الثالث بان يعقوب قد هرب. 23 فأخذ اخوته معه وسعى وراءه مسيرة سبعة ايام.فادركه في جبل جلعاد. 24 وأتى الله الى لابان الارامي في حلم الليل.وقال له احترز من ان تكلم يعقوب بخير او شر. تك 31

"Your teeth are like a flock of shorn sheep which have come up from the washing.”(Song of Sol. 4:2) اسنانك كقطيع الجزائز الصادرة من الغسل The church has matured and now it is befitting to have teeth, for she has grown and is nolonger satisfied with the milk for babies, but she wants His fatness which she can chew anddigest in her life. St. Augustine said that: The teeth of the church are her , who chew the food and then offer it as milk to the babies. There are different kinds of teeth, but they all work for the same purpose and the same spirit, for edification. Servants لاق بالكنيسة أن يكون لها أسنان، فقد نمت ونضجت ولم يعد يكفيها لبن التعليم، إنما تطلب دسمه، تمضغه وتهضمه في حياتها. يقول القديس أغسطينوس أن أسنان الكنيسة هم خدامها الذين يمضغون الطعام كالمرضعات ويقدمونه لبًنا للأطفال الصغار في الإيما ن. هذه الأسنان مختلفة الأصناف من أنياب وضروس ... لكنها تعمل لغاية واحدة وبروح واحد للبنيا ن.

  13. 4- "Your lips are like a strand of scarlet, and your mouth is lovely." (Song of Sol. 4:3) شفتاك كسلكة من القرمز.وفمك حلو. This is a true picture of a believer who binds all what comes out of his mouth with the precious blood, witnessing to the Lord with his words as well as his deeds, until everyone is saved and enters the house of God. for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Mt 12:34 من فضلة القلب يتكلم الفم Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. من الفم الواحد تخرج بركة ولعنة.لا يصلح يا اخوتي ان تكون هذه الامور هكذا.

  14. "Your neck is like the tower of David, built for an armory, on which hang a thousandbucklers, all shields of mighty men." (Song of Sol. 4:4) عنقك كبرج داود المبني للاسلحة.الف مجن علق عليه كلها اتراس الجبابرة • resembles Faith The neck Often the Lord associates the beauty of the church with her strife The believersunderstand that the secret of their beauty in Christ Jesus is their lawful spiritual strife. The church hears the Lord saying, "I am your Shield.“ (Gen. 15:1) Through Him, she is protected from all the arrows of the enemy which are inflamed with fire. (Eph. 6:16) 1000 is a symbol of the heavenly life The weapons of the church are heavenly and spiritual

  15. CALL FOR LABOR AND STRIFE: "Come with me from Lebanon , my spouse, with me from Lebanon…... from the lions' dens, from themountains of the leopards." (Song 4: 8) هلمي معي من لبنان يا عروس معي من لبنان...... من خدور الأسود من جبال النمور . This is a call for going out with the Bridegroom, for the spiritual war is for the Lord and in Hisname. When the soul goes out feeling secure in Him, then she wins, for without Him, there isnothing except defeat. إنها دعوة للخروج مع العريس، فإن الحرب الروحية هي للرب، لحسابه وباسمه، فإن خرجت النفس محتمية فيه غلبت وانتصرت، بدونه لا تعرف إلاَّ الهزيمة. St. Augustine relates that it is the bride crossing to the Heavenly Father, through her unitywith Christ the Bridegroom. ويرى القديس أغسطينوس أنه عبور للعروس إلى الآب السماوي خلال اتحادها بالعريس المسيح

  16. "A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.”(Song 4: 12) اختي العروس جنة مغلقة عين مقفلة ينبوع مختوم The bride is an enclosed garden because she is only for the Lord. She is his garden, this is why she is beautiful in his ayes. We should dedicate our life to Jesus Christ only during our earthly life The Lord’s Garden is not a public garden nobody can go in, it’s an enclosed garden. العروس جنة مغلقة, لأنها لله وحده دون سواه. إنها جنته,. وهذا ما يجعلها جميلة في عينيه, وهذا ما يجب أن نراعيه في حياتنا, أن تكون حياتنا له وحده.. إن جنته ليست حديقة عامة كل من يريد أن يدخله.. إنها مغلقة لتكون له وحده..

  17. A spring sealed up nobody but the owner can drink from it. A fountain sealed…The Bride is only for her groom, and she is content with this. The Lord is everything for her, and she is a sealed spring for him alone " عين مقفلة".. لا يستطيع أن يرتوي من مياهها إلا صاحبها.   " ينبوع مختوم".. العروس بجملتها لعريسها وله وحده. إنها قانعة بذلك. والمسيح كفايتها. وهي ينبوع مختوم له دون الآخرين. The words “enclosed,” “shut up,” and “sealed” illustrate the importance of the believer to separate themselves from the world. “ I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world”. John 17:14 إن الكلمات " مقفلة, مغلقة, مختوم" توحي بضرورة إنفصال المؤمن عن العالم فالمسيحي الحقيقي وإن كان في العالم ولكنه ليس منه " ليسوا من العالم كما إني أنا لست من العالم" (يو17). “Listen, O daughter Consider and incline your ear; Forget your own people also, and your father’s house; 11 So the King will greatly desire your beauty”. Psalm 45:10-11 " أسمعي يا أبنني وانظري وأميلي أذنيك وأنسي شعبك وبيت أبيك فإن الملك قد أشتهى حسنك" (مز45). والعريس يريد عروسه له وحده – لا لشعبها- ولا لبيت أبيها!!

  18. Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.(Song 4: 16) استيقظي يا ريح الشمال وتعالي يا ريح الجنوب.هبي على جنتي فتقطر اطيابها.ليأت حبيبي الى جنته ويأكل ثمره النفيس refers to temptations Wind refers to Sin North Wind South Wind refers to Self-righteousness. ريح الشمال وريح الجنوب إشارة إلي التجارب.. إنها لا تخاف مما يحيط بها لأن كل الاشياء تعمل معاً للخير للذين يحبون الله (رو8: 28), [ريح الشمال تشير الى الخطية, وريح الجنوب إشارة إلي البر الذاتي]. والعريس في هذة كلها لا يحفظها فقط بل يخرج من الأكل أُكْل ومن الجافي حلاوة!!

  19. 3 - Invitation "Go forth, O daughters of Zion, and see King Solomon with the crowner …. on the day of his wedding.“ (Song of Sol. 3:11) اخرجن يا بنات صهيون وانظرن الملك سليمان بالتاج .......في يوم عرسه . • Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Rev 19:9 The church is calling the whole world to enjoy the banquet of the cross. طوبى للمدعوين الى عشاء عرس الخروف رؤيا 19 :9 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called. Eph 4:1 فاطلب اليكم انا الاسير في الرب ان تسلكوا كما يحق للدعوة التي دعيتم بها. أفسس 4:1

  20. 4 - Wedding Garment The sacrament of baptism is the sacrament of the spiritual matrimony with the Messiah • When the soul enters the mystery of spiritual matrimony in baptism, the angels see her inthe wedding garment and thus they sing: "Who is this coming up from the wilderness, white?”(Song. 8:5( من هذه الطالعة من البرية بيضاء. Parable of the Wedding Feast or the Marriage of the King's Son. Matthew 22:1-14 and Luke 14:16-24 When mentioning entering "the chambers of the king", it is meant that the person enters the baptismal font to be attached to the Heavenly Bridegroom, where he is buried with Him, and is risen carrying the new creation. فعندما يتحدث السفر عن الدخول في "حجال الملك "، إنما يتكلم سري عن دخول الأنسان فى جرن المعمودية ليرتبط بالعريس السماوي ، يدفن معه، ويصلب معه، ويقوم معه، حاملا في داخله الخليقة الجديدة على مثال المسيا.

  21. sacrament of EucharistWedding rehearsal • In this book, we find a divine calling to enjoy the sacrament of Eucharist, the weddingbanquet. St. Cyril of Jerusalem said, "The Lord Christ grants His children to enjoy His body andblood." وفي هذا السفر نجد دعوة إلهية للتمتع بسـر الأفخارستيا وليمة العـرس يقول القديس كيرلس الأورشليمي: [يهب السيد المسيح أبناء الحجرة الزوجية أن يتمتعوا بجسده ودمه].
