  2. Course Prerequisite • Completed OA101 (Keyboarding)

  3. GCC Prerequisite Policy (Page 24) “Course prerequisites are courses to be completed or conditions to be met before a student is eligible to enroll in a specific course. A student who has enrolled in a course without first completing all course prerequisite may be disenrolled from that course by the College. Prerequisites are identified in program listings with a “+” sign.”

  4. Course Prerequisite (continued): • Type at least 30 wpm. • Basic introductory skills of using Microsoft Word.

  5. Course Prerequisite (continued): • Demonstrate creating, formatting, printing and saving a Word document.

  6. Course Prerequisite (continued): • Demonstrate knowledge of document formats. • Creating Memos, Letters, Reports, etc.

  7. Course Prerequisite (continued): • Basic introductory skills of using a Computer: • Power the computer On and Shut Down. • Move around the Windows Desktop. • Use the Mouse. • Start and Close any Windows application.

  8. Course Objectives • Students will be using Microsoft Office 2003.

  9. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: • Demonstrate introductory skills using: • Microsoft Excel 2003 – (spreadsheet) • Microsoft Access 2003 – (database) • Microsoft PowerPoint 2003–(presentation)

  10. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: • Demonstrate introductory Intermediate skills using: • Microsoft Word 2003 – (word processor)

  11. Course Objectives • Demonstrate Application Integration skills. • For Example: • Word and Excel • Word and Access • Access and Excel • Word and PowerPoint
