Nejvyssim pohorim je Skotska vysocina, nebo tez Highlands, kde je i nejvyssi hora Skotska a zaroven celeho Spojeneho kralovstvi Ben Nevis (1344 m nad morem). Highlands lezi v severni a severozapadni casti Skotska, je vulkanickeho puvodu a je prevazne kamenity.
